Description/Agenda

Achieve recognized credentials and get on track to greater career potential. This PMP® certification exam prep workshop will help you prepare for today's more rigorous PMP® exam based on A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK® Guide). This project management class will cover all the process and knowledge areas including professional responsibility through instruction and testing and increase the probability of gaining your PMP certification.

PRE-WORK: Registration includes copies of the PMBOK® Guide (4th edition) and Kim Heldman's Project Management Study Guide delivered to you in advance of the course. Participants are recommended to register 8-10 weeks in advance to allow for approximately 40 hours of review of these materials.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Apply test-taking strategies and techniques to improve performance on the PMP® Exam
  • Review the concepts that provide the framework of Project Management, as outlined in the PMBOK® Guide 
  • Analyze project-related scenarios to identify the proper application, misapplication, or absence of generally accepted Project Management tools, techniques, and principles
  • Evaluate your knowledge of Project Management and identify areas to focus on to guide your preparation for taking the PMP® Exam

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

NOTE: Participants should be eligible to write the exam prior to attending the course. The requirements state a  minimum of 35 hours of PM classroom instruction plus:

  • 4,500+ hours and 3 years experience for those with a bachelor's degree, or
  • 7,500+ hours and 5 years experience without an undergraduate degree.
