The two-day seminar High Voltage Qualified Electrical Safety Training includes the pre-requisite Low Voltage Qualified course.  *

* If you have already attended our 2018 Low Voltage Qualified course in the past, tuition for High Voltage Qualified Training is $500 per person and includes one day of training only.  Email info@866seminars if this applies to you.


LOW VOLTAGE QUALIFIED - DAY 1:

This practical one-day course provides a comprehensive understanding of safe electrical workplace practices in accordance with OSHA and NFPA 70E 2018 regulations and guidelines.

 Tuition includes:
  • Expert instruction
  • NFPA 70E-2018 Standard ($79.00 value)
  • e-Hazard student manual ($45.00 value)
  • Certificate of Completion - 8 hour*
  • Demonstrations and samples of PPE from the industry’s leading manufacturers (when available)
  • Lunch  

* LV courses are approved for credit for electricians in AK, AL, DE, FL, ID, Evansville IN, Johnson Co. KS, KY, LA, MD, MT, NC, NJ, NM, Las Vegas NV, OH, OR, SD,  UT, WA, WI and WY (WY open classes only), and are accepted by most states for PDH’s for electrical engineers.  Contact e-Hazard for more details.

HIGH VOLTAGE QUALIFIED - DAY 2:

 Working on or around 1 to 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification. In this training, attendees learn what it means to be HV qualified and what electrical tasks may only be performed by a qualified person.

What You Will Learn in the High Voltage Training:

  • Regulations related to being HV Qualified and working safely.
  • Safe practices working on or near energized equipment
  • Live line work, tools and equipment.
  • Mobile equipment and electrical hazards.
  • De-energized testing
  • Creating a safe work zone (Tape In/Tape out)
  • Public Safety (limited approach) boundaries
  • Minimum approach distance
  • When is it live-line work
  • Testing and verifying equipment is de-energized
