Learn to install, configure, and administer SharePoint 2010 in this course. You will also learn to use SharePoint 2010 to manage and monitor sites and users. You will cover the new features and functionality of SharePoint Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Office 365's SharePoint Online.

This course incorporates materials from the Official Microsoft Learning Product (OMLP) 10174: Configuring and Administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010. It can also assist you in your preparation for Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist Exam 70-667: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Configuring.

Course Prerequisites

  • Experience administering Active Directory, including creating and managing user and group accounts, delegation of administration, and configuring Group Policy
  • Experience administering network infrastructures, including DNS and TCP/IP connectivity
  • Conceptual awareness of Microsoft .NET Framework as it relates to SharePoint 2010
  • Experience administering SQL Server 2005 or 2008, including creating logons, assigning roles, and using SQL Management Studio
  • One year experience using Windows PowerShell cmdlets
  • Knowledge of general security and authentication practices
