Course Description/Agenda


Win/Win Negotiations develops the skills participants need to become that negotiator. Whether selling a product or service, allocating resources for a project, funding a new internal initiative, negotiation is inevitably at the center of the process.

In this hands-on, hard-hitting workshop, participants learn how to strengthen their negotiation skills through classroom game sessions, extensive role-play and classroom exercises. Participants receive one-on-one personal feedback that helps improve their ability to communicate and negotiate in complex and difficult negotiation sessions. Students build skills negotiating both individually and as a team.

Objectives

Participants will learn to:
  • Recognize how behavioral style affects the negotiation process
  • Recognize interests and issues and avoid unnecessary positions
  • Develop an effective plan and strategy for any negotiation
  • Negotiate face-to-face, on the phone, and through e-mail
  • Read client and employee behavioral styles to maximize closure
  • Create mutual gain and win-win outcomes by being objective
  • Neutralize manipulative tactics
  • Minimize conflicts and deadlocks both internally and externally
